On 24.05.2019, i.e. 6 days before the official European elections, the pupils in grades 8-11, supported by a team of electoral assistants from grade 9, were able to choose their desired candidates for the European Parliament within the framework of the so-called junior elections.

The junior election is a political education project that schools can run parallel to upcoming state, federal and European elections. The pupils* are enabled to simulate a complete electoral process and to try themselves out as "voters" in the democratic system.

This was a good opportunity not only to learn more about politics in class, but also to experience democracy in practice.
